HOW MANY GUESTS CAN THE BARN ACCOMMODATE?

The barn can comfortably accommodate about 150ish seated guests with enough room for a bar, dance floor, DJ, food buffet and other decorations. Larger weddings can be accommodated.  We can review options.

WHEN CAN I SEE THE PROPERTY?

We would love for you to see all French Hen Farm has to offer!

The best way to see our property is to schedule a tour. A venue tour will take approximately 30-45 minutes. Please call us at 614 306 6349 or our contact button.

WHAT MONTHS ARE AVAILABLE TO RENT?

We currently host weddings June - October.

WHAT DOES THE RENTAL FEE INCLUDE?

The rental fee includes Friday, Saturday and Sunday!  Contact us for current rate.

We only rent one event per weekend.  We want you to have a stress free weekend!

The rental includes access to outdoor venue space, indoor barn venue space, outdoor parking space and:

17- 72” round tables

6 -  8’ banquet tables

175-  white padded chairs

6-   cocktail tables

A beautiful vintage wooden bar on wheels

A vintage farm cart,

40+ authentic vintage chandelier lighting

Parking attendant for over 100 guests

We will start an evening bonfire for you and your guests! (you can have s’mores if you want!)

 In addition, we have a HUGE assortment of rental items to chose from to make your wedding unique and on a budget.  Why buy when you can borrow for a fraction of the price! We are adding new items weekly… don’t see what you need? Email us, we may have it or can find it for you! We have been collecting and designing for over 30 years… we probably have it or can get it! From centerpieces, to arbors, antiques, ceremony doors, yard games, signs, lanterns, lots of décor.  Save yourself A LOT of money and time!  See our rental “something borrowed” gallery button. We are adding items weekly to elevate your venue experience.

 DO YOU REQUIRE A SECURITY DEPOSIT?

Yes, we do. We require $500 down to hold your date.  We will need a signed contract at this time also.   This deposit simply says you are serious about booking.  This is non refundable if you cancel.  After your wedding is over and there are no damages we will refund the money.  Any damages will be subtracted from this amount.

 CAN WE RENT THE PROPERTY FOR PHOTOSHOOTS OR OTHER EVENTS?

We specialize in weddings over the weekends but we do allow photo shoots and other events during the week.  The property has the barn, gardens, pond with fountain and tons of photo opportunities!

DO YOU ALLOW ALCOHOL?

Yes, we do allow alcohol. However, we do require a certified bartender. 

We have a list of names to help you find one.

 We do require an event rider insurance policy for the weekend.  These can be purchased via your homeowners/rental insurance or online. This covers you and French Hen Farm in the event of something happening.

Also:

No firearms are permitted on the property.

No smoking in barn – smoking receptacles are provided outside.

DO YOU ALLOW OUTSIDE VENDORS?

Yes! We do allow outside vendors, this is YOUR day! You may choose what ever vendors you want.  We do have a great list of vendors that we have worked with before to get you started!  We have floral designers, wedding stylists, caterers, photographers, rentals, officiants, etc. 

But you pick who you want!

DO YOU HAVE A CATERING KITCHEN ON SITE?

No, we do not have an on site kitchen.

WHAT TYPE OF DECORATIONS ARE PROHIBITED?

We do not allow fake rose petals at the ceremony, they have to be live. We also do not allow confetti, glitter, silly string, fake snow, rice or nails. 

No open flames allowed in the wood barn. Candles are permitted in containers and we have flameless candles available for rent too.

 DO YOU HAVE A PLACE FOR A REHEARSAL DINNER?

Since you get the barn Friday, Saturday and Sunday, you can have your rehearsal and dinner here at the barn if you choose at no additional charge!

WHO CLEANS UP AFTER MY EVENT?

You are required to leave the barn as you found it.  

Tables and chairs need to be stacked on the appropriate carts.

WHEN IS MY PAYMENT DUE?

Your security deposit is due the day you book. One half of your payment is due 2 months prior to your wedding date. 

Your balance is due 2 weeks before your event date. At this time we will also need a copy of insurance policy and your finalized guest count.  A lot of brides make payments along the way.

DO YOU PROVIDE TABLES & CHAIRS?

Yes, we have 175 white padded chairs, 17 round 6 foot tables (seat 10 people) and 8 rectangular 8 foot tables (seat 8 people) . And 6 cocktail tables.  Additional tables and chairs can be rented. We have vendors you can rent from.

DO YOU STILL SELL ANTIQUES & HOME DECOR?

Yes! We now have an online shop - press our shop button! We will be adding things weekly, so check back!

And yes! We will still have an annual barn sale!
